2 Years

2 years with the love of my life.

Sometimes it feels like we have only been together a few months and other times it feels like 20 years. Not in a bad way! Just that so much has happened, I cannot believe it has only been 2 years. So here is a little taste of what has happened in our lives…

Wesley and I both went through career changes. I started school to be a Master Esthetician, graduated last year, and worked in a spa for several months. Wesley decided to join the Army, graduated from Basic Training, and is currently in his Advanced Training.

Last year, we bought our first house and we love that little yellow beauty! But, with Wesley joining the Army, we have had to move out and let someone else make that house into a home.

The past couple years have been filled with adventures, pictures, heartache, drives, and love. Most of all love. I loved Wesley sooo freakin’ much when we got married and I could not imagine any greater love than what we had. Over these last couple years, we have fallen more and more in love and it just blows my mind.

Has it always been easy? Nope. Are things just sunshine and rainbows all the time? Nah. But, when there are dark days, there is no one else I would rather spend those days with. Wesley and I are so much stronger from the things we have been through and we have learned so much about ourselves, each other, and our relationship.

Wesley really is my soul mate. I can’t even tell you how many times we have said the same thing at the same time or both had a craving for the same restaurant. My favorite is when Wesley calls me and asks if I have been having a bad day because he had a feeling like I was not doing well. I love this man.

Alright, I am done with all the cheese now- I promise!

We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles, California Temple. To find out more about families being together forever and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints go here.

We got our pictures back a few weeks ago and I have been obsessed with them. I use to be so annoyed with people who talked about their weddings and posted wedding pictures months after the actual event. Now, I think I am one of those people. All I want to do is post pictures of us and talk about it to everyone I meet. Sorry if that’s all I talk about when I see you! I figure the best way to remedy this would be to just post it all here and that way whoever wants to read about it can and I won’t annoy as many people (hopefully!)

After the ceremony, we had the reception in my parents backyard in Huntington Beach. We wanted it to be simple, informal, and feel more like a hang out with our friends and family.

It was absolutely perfect and I will post pictures from the reception soon! For now, here are some beauties from the best day ever…
